Bike INN (Girona) - Legit site?

Just checking with this group before I make an international purchase from a website that I’ve never used before.

They seem legit, but I know there are a few people on here from Girona who I am hoping can verify this company/site.

Thanks!

I’ve ordered a few things from this site and never had an issue - mostly trying to get around Canada’s rules on Maurten Caf 100 gels, but also the odd bike part.

Though I’m in Canada, so I can’t speak to shipping to Girona

I’m in the US. This company seems based in Girona, not me.

Bikeinn and tradeinn are one great company。no worries!

I can’t tell you how many things I’ve ordered. No issues.

I’m based in Spain, so might have better logistics with them. But order with them all the time. Best prices around and to me the shipping is pretty good. Been shopping with them for probably 15yrs.

Only shady thing about them recently is the dynamic pricing, one minute something might be 20€ then when I get back from lunch it’s 27€. But Amazon is like that too I suppose.

Totally legit.

Main issue for me is that they lie about what they have in stock. Many times when you order something in stock, it takes from 3 days to two weeks to process shipment. They show availability when they order from manufacturer’s warehouses.

Not really bothering when buying some clothing but for parts or maintenance items, it’s infuriating

I’m going to be a voice of dissent here - the big issue I have with them is that their stock information is not very live, so beware that something might show as in stock and then you sit around wondering why it hasn’t shipped only to be told it isn’t in stock and they’ll ship when they get it, but no date.

I’ve had a number of issues with late dispatch and very slow delivery. I generally choose to pay a few bucks more from a better retailer. YMMV.

Have ordered a few things for delivery to the UK.
Mostly good but have had to wait a few times for items (listed as in stock might as well read in stock with the supplier or manufacturer).
Did have to wait 4 weeks for one item but it wasn’t available anywhere else though.

Thanks! Figured it was good, but never hurts to check.

Now, I’m a little nervous that the item I bought (not easy to find) will not be in stock.

I have ordered clothing from the UK and always been good service and price. I was interested in a bike and double checked that the brakes would be set up for the UK (front brake on RHS lever). Unfortunately this wasn’t the case, and I found this a little surprising.

Same here in Canada. Site is legit, good prices, but came across a few late deliveries.

I’m in the US and have ordered more than 10 times from them over the last probably 3-4 years. No problem with the company on any of the orders. Mostly the items have been clothing.

Keep the total tab under $800 ( I aim for less than $700) per order to reduce the chances of being charged Duty.

I say -reduce the chances- as UPS has been quite bad at charging a clearing broker fee and assessing duty when I’m pretty certain it’s in error. I should not have been charged duty. Then UPS will slow roll the request process for refund of the duty until I just give up.

I think there is the option to choose USPS for shipping and I recommend choosing USPS as I’ve not had problems with USPS on imports.

As others said, site is legit. As others have said, good prices, but they lie about availability.

I will add, that they refuse to process a sailfish warrantee, despite sailfish acknowledging it’s a product defect, and they won’t publish bad reviews.

I can vouch for the review cleansing. I’ve given them three bad reviews on Trustpilot, which they went after and had removed. I think their actual consumer satisfaction rating is much lower than what you’ll find looking at the online.

I prefer to support the better suppliers, but I appreciate most just go for lowest cost - at least be aware that will come with big issues when things go awry; each time I got burnt I wished I’d spent a bit more buying elsewhere and actually getting the product in time for my event, etc…

My recommendation would be not to buy from them. I just had a really bad experience with a Sailfish wetsuit. On the second use it teared in the groin section. I reported to Sailfish and they said I had to process the warranty claim through Trade Inn. Sent them the pictures and they claim it is through bad use. In particular, my fingernails biting through. This is one of the pictures I sent them:

I must have very wide and powerful fingernails to not only make a cut that wide and that can go through the inner fabric!

In any case this is what Saiflish says:

"please excuse our late response. Unfortunately, we have not received any information about your case from TradeInn.

However, as we are of the opinion that it is a delamination, we will repair the suit free of charge for you."

But of course TradeINN knows better than the manufacturer:

“Lamentamos informarle que las imágenes que se muestran en la solicitud de devolución no es de una costura, sino de uñazos, eso pasa en el momento de poner/sacar el traje y el departamento de garantías y devoluciones ha determinado que eso NO pasa por garantía.”

This is like the fourth message and after making them aware that Sailfish will take care of it. The bottom line is that they are an unethical company and I will have to spend more time and money shipping to Sailfish HQ than I should.

Will never buy from them again.

As a final comment, don’t trust the customer reviews. I have tried several times to publish a review of what happened, and it simply won’t show. Only good reviews.

By far the worst user experience? Bought a ceramicspeed bbright dub bottom bracket. received a 24mm. They wanted i pay the return fee, saying i had receive what i have orderered.

legit. ordered a saddle from them earlier in the year. took a little longer since international. if you ever want to know, try google maps - dropdown view. they are sizable too.

Take user reviews with a large pinch of salt.

Tradeinn are aggressive in cleansing bad reviews from places like trustpilot and Google.

They’re fine if everything goes okay… As you can see above, they have zero customer service if there is an issue.

Had that from a local bike shop just last week. Said an item was in stock, drove there, and they had no clue other than “someone forgot to update the inventory list”…which sounds like a management issue to me.
