I’ve seen the threads recommending bike cases, so I’m not re-visiting that. What I’d like to know is if I should take anything into consideration with aerobar end shifters? I’ve never packed a bike, but I can see the bars will be tethered to the frame by the cables. Has anyone had problems with this with a particular bike case? Thanks.
Travelled with a bike with bar end shifter for the first time this year, and it did take a bit of time to figure out how to pack it without causing problems to wheels/fork etc. Basically, turned around so that bar ends point away from the wheels (i.e not pointing up) and positoned around the fork
Also, I am talking about Trico not Tri All cases. Wrap covers around the bars and the fork so as not to scratch the fork. I am assuming you have already taken the bar off from stem. With a bit of patience it fits fine.
If you are going to have your bike serviced and then boxed professionally take a picture of how the shop put it in (or as in our case draw a pic) so you know how to put it together again
