Bike Box/Bag

I am on a Giant Trinity Advanced Pro and want a bike bag/box with minimal disassembly. Cost is no issue…not true…Under $750 would be great.

I need the bag/box by the end of March.

Recommendations?

FWIW I’ve used the SciCon tri bag for some pretty extensive travel with a Felt IA over 3 seasons. I’ve had no issues, but I know one or two people who haven’t been as lucky.

Not sure about the Giant’s front end, but the IA takes quite some time to break down/build up, so just taking the wheels off and locking in has been pretty great.

I did buy pipe insulation foam as extra padding and leave no part unpadded, and use the derailleur cage they provide.

The wheels on the bottom will get wonky but…fun steering challenge in an airport?

Hope that’s helpful.

BikeBoxAlan is the best option in my view - I have three of them and typically do 6-7 trips each year with them - good value and so far has been 100% dependable.

Personally I cannot understand why some people choose non-rigid cases - how can they come even close to a rigid case in terms of protection.

If you want minimal disassembly, i would recommend Scicon bags, Basically you take off the wheels, and you can pack your bike in like 5-7 mins and than bubble wrap it. It is a soft bag, so there have been many incidences of bikes arriving with something being moved to some parts broken. It is definitely not as secured as a hard case bike bag
I have used Scicon for over 4 or 5 years now with only one incident
