While at the Expo - joking about who would wear an M-Dot nipple ring…a nice gentleman was kind enough to show us his (yes, in his nipple). Hold on, I need to go drink more of the Kool Aid. Come midnight Sunday night we will have even more folks that can wear the M-Dot logo with all the pride and honor of an IM finisher…at the rate it is selling I am thinking Calvin Klein and Hugo Boss may have a new competitor.

A few years ago I heard that WTC makes more money from licensing products than the NHL. I have also heard that WTC makes the vast majority of its profit from licensing and trademark. This was before the 70.3 series and NAS buyout, so that may have changed in the past fw years.

I looked around at the Expo (just got back) and thought the selection at the Expo sucked. I just wanted a white t shirt with some cool stuff on it and they had none. Now if I wanted to spend $60 on a K-Swiss t-shirt that just had a logo on it they had that, but no way!
It was nice to see the Timex stuff outside along with the new 2010 TTX’s 
I wanted another black IM baseball cap. I could not get one - not with out the logo (fine), some extra ribbing, blue lightning bolts and some weird ass texture stitched into it (for a low low $35)

Bored? I would give my naughty nurses cap to be @ IMOO. Beautiful place, perfect weather and an Ironman race. The only debate is where’s the best place to get that Ironman nipple piercing?

it is sad that all the US based IM race merchandise sucks! I keep seeing lots of cool stuff from rest of the world. Even Canadian version looks cool

Yep. And dog bowls, collars, name tags…I think (but I am not sure) that I saw M-Dot kitty litter…for when your cat needs to take a dump that is to the performance and quality and dedication that only the cat of a person who does an Ironman in 16 hours and 40 minutes can expect from their cat.
I saw mdot dog treats posted by someone on facebook.
