I bought a 2008 P2C new because of Cervelo’s promise of a lifetime warranty on the frame, and it happened to fit me well. The frame came with the old style wolf fork, which halfway through the model year had been upgraded to the more aero 3T fork. I wrote an e-mail to Cervelo customer service asking for my fork to be upgraded, and they did it no questions asked.
After 3 years of hard use, the seat-post started to slip. I tightened down the bolts thinking they had come loose somehow, and managed to crack the carbon seat-post right next to the binding bolt.
The shop I bought the frame from no longer carries Cervelo. I brought the cracked seat-post to Veloro bicycles in Redwood City CA, which was started by the manager of the shop I originally bought the P2C from. The shop put in the warranty claim, and I had a brand spanking new seat-post and some tac-x in my hand a few days later, no questions asked.
The best part, the seat-post is the new glossy finish, and my bike looks better than new:
