I use a profile design aerodrink mounted to my aerobars with two of those big black rubber bands. Does anyone on this board use something else to keep the bottle from shaking? the two that I’ve got are going to snap any day now. They’re both pretty dried out and rotten.
My girlfriend’s hair ties. They last longer and actually hold the bottle tighter.
Lose the rubber bands. This works much better.

I went to REI and bought a two foot length of shock cord. I tied it in a loop which I just wrap around the bottom and then over the lip on top. It has lasted for a couple of years now and holds the bottle rock solid.
I agree with jaylew. Get the aero drink holder. The rubber bands are too fragile and the bottle bounces around more with the rubber bands.
Is it just me or does everybody else get soaking wet when using one of these bottles?
Send me a PM with your address, and I’ll mail you my Profile aeroDrink holder that is referenced in the other user’s post. I have no need for it anymore.
(my workaround, for what it’s worth, has been to buy a 89-cent piece of pipe insulation, cut two pieces of about 2" each, and wrap these around the aero extensions. This, and a couple of normal elastic bands have kept the bottle secure in any conditions.)
Small bungee cords work great and can be purchased anywhere. Duct tape will loosen up over a long race but works in a pinch.

It’s not only you… Love/hate relation to the aerodrink system… Love the convenience of having it right where I need it, when I need it. Hate cleaning sports drink from the front wheel/brake/fork & myself.
Anyone with a solution to this?

EXACTLY MY SOLUTION!!!
incidentally, I also use the rubber bands from broccoli as a wallet. They’re perfect for holding credit cards and ID. You can slip some cash or a few business cards in between too.
pfffttt use a rubber band and almost zero grams. WHY DO THAT
When you can spend an extra $300 on a carbon crank and save about 100grams then go spend another $15 for a holder that will add 171 grams where is the sense in that lol
I use the straps from an old pair of goggles.
with syntace C2 aero bars, i don’t need bands or the holder. I just position the bars as a clamp. works like a treat. the bottle can’t come out because of the computer mount up front - it takes some serious yanking and squeezing to remove it. no bands, no breakage, no vibration.
Lots of good suggestions here.
I used a Lance Armstrong yellow bracelet for a while. The fit was tight so the bottle didn’t rattle.
You put it around both aero bars and around the top of the aero bottle. Works great.

I use clear packing tape to cover the hole in my disk wheel and use the same over the top of my aero drink. It saves a fair amount of cleaning, 'cuz scraping Hammer Sustained Energy off my frame and fork is a real drag.
I only use the aero drink for Half IM or longer, because I use a NeverReach for shorter stuff (also keeps me from getting wet). For longer events I put water in the NeverReach and mix up a concentrated drink mix that’s at about 30W viscosity. That way I can go as long as I need to and all I have to get from race support is H20.
When I used to use an aerodrink, I went to Canadian Tire and bought an inner tube roughly the same size as the profile bands, then used a Exacto knife to cut off a few slices.

I use that device. If I set the bottle in my aerobars, it drags on the front tire – I rode a whole IM with the bottle bouncing along on the front tire. It wore a hole in the bottom of the bottle and I couldn’t fill it the last 20 miles. I need the mount to lift it up higher.
I use this system as well:
