Best Way to Sell a Vintage Racing Bike?

I have a late 80s Pinarello Montello SLX outfitted in full Dura Ace that I raced in my youth. At the time, it was the very best bike money could buy. It looks rough, because Italians can’t paint or make decals that stick. But it is mechanically excellent. I finished a Century first on it a few years ago, before I got my modern road bike.

I want to figure out the best way to sell it at the best price to me. I would probably list it on craigslist, but I do not want to give it away by accident if there is a better place to market it. Seem like there would be some enthusiast place for people who love the classic steel. So… where are the best channels to market a vintage top-end bike? And, what is a rough guess at value?

Is there a reason you wouldn’t list it in the Classifieds section here? Would probably be my first step if I were in your shoes!

Maybe bicyclebluebook.com (friend recently got a great, albeit much newer used bike through that channel) or theproscloset.com? Both seem to offer some level of escrow-ish protocol - seems more secure than ebay or craigslist.

Is there a reason you wouldn’t list it in the Classifieds section here? My perception here is that most eyeballs are looking for modern tech.

Thanks for the links. I am checking them out now… looks like what I am seeking.
