I followed a strict training plan all winter and spring for Eagleman 70.3 and had a great race. The rest of my season I will be competing in oly distance races a couple times a month through September. This is my first full year of serious competition so I feel kind of lost as to how best to maintain the fitness I have achieved. I assume there is a better way other than just doing random workouts.
after having recovery from your last race, you need to keep the training load near what you were doing for the past few months… depending when your other races are, you need to rebuild towards those and there is a million way to do this. A proper training program is what you would need.
that said, you cant maintain your peak shape from eagleman for anything more than a few weeks at best. So rebuild, time for another training cycle…
