Best tri bags

I’ve read the other thread on this forum about tri bags and have narrowed my first choices down to the Louis Garneau Tri Pac Revo 2012 or the Ogio Endurance 9.0 or 8.0. I’m concerned about some reviewer’s comments about the LG bag quality issues and not sure what size Ogio would work best. Anyone own one of these particular bags and can share some feedback? Again, I’ve looked at the others, Zook, TYR, Rocket Science, DeSoto, and like the design of the LG and/or Ogio best. I also use an aero helmet. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have the LG Tri Pac Revo and love it. The only complaint that I have if I’m being picky is that I wish the zippers were a little sturdier. Wetsuit compartment is great. Shoe compartment is great. Dry clothes in the outside pouch works great. When unzipped it lays down pretty flat. The backpack straps and waist strap are very comfortable making it easy to ride your bike with your pack. Aero helmet fits nicely. I really can’t say enough nice things about it.

You should really consider the zipp gear bag. 2 shoe compartments, a wetsuit compartment, its a great bag. Very durable too

I have a tyr. It’s a simple bag that has just enough compartments to be useful without being crowded. Lots of room for dropping shoes, wetsuits, swimwear, etc. into the bottomless middle section. It has lived now for a year and a half through daily beatings during a bus commute. lots of MN winter snow and slush. Items with pointy ends, no problem, wet, no problem, laptop, sure why not. Best thing is it wont break the bank. Simple is best sometimes.

Just my .02

it definitely is (the Zoot bag). Ive had mine 2 seasons and can drag everything I need in it

All wrong. This is the one you need.

I got the Ogio 8.0 earlier this year and I am not a big fan. I find the compartments are not well-sized. There are also not enough of them. The sunglasses pouch is nice, but not a good size. It is more than needed for just glasses, but too small if you are trying to stuff extra HR/GPS electronics.

The interior pocket becomes essentially useless with the shoes protruding from both ends and the helmet coming down in the middle. I know I have small shoes, but the pockets are way too big. They are also not secured on the inside so anything you do try to put in the middle gets hidden underneath.

As a pure transition bag (i.e. no extra anything) it works fine. Shoes, helmet, nutrition. But, if you think you will throw in some extras, maybe a change of clothes or extra gear, it doesn’t work well. Perhaps my expectations were out of line because I wanted to use it as a more all-around tri bag, but at least you will know going in!

I looked at the Zipp and like it. But since I plan to fly to a couple events next year, I need something that will carry-on. Have you ever flown with yours…the square shape doesn’t seem to lend itself to carry-on status?

I got the endurance 8. Love the bag can fit loads in it and showing no signs of wear so far

What model Zook do you have and is the helmet pocket large enough for an aero?

Do not buy a rocket science bag, nice design, horrible durability. Stuff started ripping apart about 1 month after purchase.

I have the Zoot Ultra bag and love it. Tons of compartments keep everything organized. Well worth the price. Have even used it as a weekend bag when traveling
