Wondering what the forum’s opinion is on who/what is the best coach/camp for each of these distinct disciplines. Gary Hall, Sr. from the swim? I think that may be a given but what about the other two

VisionQuest puts on a really good cycling camp in the Spring. The riding is always great. Last year was out of Santa Rosa and we had Police escorts on some days. We had Allen Lim and Michellie Jones as guest speakers, NormaTec boots and massage every day. The hotel and the food were first rate. Professional mechanics.

Next spring it’s out of Solvang.

I might be a bit biased, but I like these: www.graskyendurance.com. We do camps in Tucson in Feb and March (I’m a local, so you get all the good routes, restaurants, and ‘ins’). I’m also planning a camp in France in April 2012. Be on the lookout for info coming out.

I guess I need to clarify the post a bit. Who are the best standalone coaches in these respective individual sports?

I’ve heard good things about Carmichael’s camps. And I can vouch for the weather and some great rides.

For olympic single sport athletes? Or for triathletes’ interest?

For swimming the folks at club wolverine seem to have solid talent in many different disciplines. The head coach there is Mike Bottom I think. But there are a dozen or so really top of the top locations to pick from, most of them universities and club teams sharing locations with the university.
