I use Project Rudy Noyz racing glasses with the blue lenses, also have the racing red lenses (came with the kit) and I bought the clear lenses for mornings and cloudy days. I pinch the nosepiece together so they ride high on my face on the bike so in aero my view is not obstructed by the top of the glasses. When I start running I push the sunglasses down, widening the nosepiece and they lay lower on my face.
Ditto on Tifosi
Specifically their “Slip” models have a vent that helps prevent any fogging when breathing heavily.
$60 and three different colored lenses for different light conditions. Hard to beat.
This is my personal preference and opinion. There are a lot of good glasses out there. Right now I’m using Oakley Fastjacket XL. However, my next pair will be a pair of glasses that does not have a bulky frame along the top of the lenses. Reason being in my tri bike I find myself pushing up on my glasses a lot so the top of the frame doesn’t block some of my vision. It’s not that my glasses are sliding a bunch, but just enough for them to start obscuring my view, especially on anything but the smoothest of roads. Something like this would be my next pair.
Jackson nemesis safety glasses. They are less than $10 a pair, come in all sorts of lenses, are ANSI rated equal to or better than Oakleys and are light and comfy.
I have:
smoked lens - good for normal days
clear - night
blue mirror - if its really sunny
green - hilariously fun, but it filters out red light (stop lights, break lights, etc…don’t wear them on the road!)
All four cost $25 shipped.

I really like my Oakley Half Jackets for a pair that works for bike/run/casual wear (also easy to get different lenses etc). Just be aware that you’re going to sacrifice in some areas to compensate for usage across the board. For example I’d like my bike glasses to be frame-less and vented for obvious reasons, though I dont feel the need is warranted nor do I want to spend additional funds to get a pair dedicated to just the bike. Overall I really like the convenience of: going for a run-grab Oakleys, going for a ride-grab Oakleys, going to costco to buy diapers again (seriously…AGAIN?!?)-grab Oakleys.
I’ve got a few pairs of http://www.xx2i.com/ and love them. Much cheaper than most other name brands. There are also several 50% discounts floating around for them too.
Honestly I looked at Oakley and at the Tifosi and in the end I went to Academy (local sports store) and got a $10 pair from there that work like a charm. They have UVA and UVB protection and I have had ZERO issues with them. Triathlon is an expensive enough sport I didn’t feel like glasses was a good allocation of funds.
I’m running some Performance Bike glasses that are Rudy Project knock-offs. I also have some Tiofosi’s. I’d liek ot try their new Podium glasses that are supposed ot repel water. I have a hell of a time on hot days with rides over 3 hours.
Rivbos. They sell about 40 different designs on Amazon, all Prime eligible. $18-$22 a pair. They all include 5 sets of polycarbonate lenses for various conditions (usually one polarized) and a nice case. I’ve had a set for two years and they’re great.
I’ve had Rudy Projects, Bolles, Giros (no longer made I think) and Smiths. All good, though some Bolles are lower quality. Fit is important, so it’s worth trying some different ones on.
I’ll add that Smith’s ignitor lens color is amazing - really really versatile across a wide range of light conditions. I have all sorts of other lens, but use that by far the most.
Plus 1 for the tifosi’s. I got the seek model for $50. Love the no frame for aero position and agressive riding. I will be buying another pair soon as I scratched them badly a couple weeks ago. Had them a whole season… the scratching was my fault big time.
