For sometime now I have been looking for a really good sports massage who really knows their stuff. Someone who’s trained in the area of sports and not from the massage school of mumbo jumbo. The reason I am posting on this board is around 2 years ago I went to a SD Triathlon meeting at the Runner Shoe store. I remember Triathlon magazine was there at the event. There was a masseuse at the event that worked on my injured shoulder at the time and it was one of the best sports massages I’ve ever had.
Anyways, I’m tired of going to local places in SD and being disappointed with what they call a “sports massage.” Can anyone recommend some reputable people that are educated in sports recovery/training and is not going to talk to me about chi?
This question was just asked on the Tri Club SD yahoo group, here is the thread…
I second that. I have tried several massage therapists and physical therapists in San Diego and CMC is heads and shoulders above all of the ones I tried. Not only is Chris fantastic, but I have used two of the other therapists there with nothing but rave results (Cambria & Diane if you want to request one of them). They have helped me get over and avoid several over-training injuries in the last year. And their web site makes scheduling appointments super easy. angela

I highly recommend Chris Cassidy Massage Clinic for sports massage.
There office is located in La Jolla. I have been going there for the
past three years. I highly recommend Cambria for your massage but the
whole staff is great and super professional. Chris is a TCSD member
and gives a discount to all members of the Tri club. If you have any
question give them a call (858 450-4456) .

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good sports
massage therapist?
Yep, I nominate Cassidy’s also. I just love Cambria, but their entire staff is great from what I hear. They don’t just do massage, but do some trigger point work to along with the massage. They are far and away from me, bout an hr+ drive, but well worth it. I just need to get down there more.

I used Cassidy’s clinic last season, I reccomend it
.
I highly recommend Annie at Vitality College of Healing Arts in Solana Beach. Everyone there is good but Annie is one of the owners and trained most of their staff, so she’s the champ. They are right up the street from B&L on the PCH.
