Best Shaving Cream/Creme/Gel

What is the best shaving cream/creme/gel for keeping those legs silky & smooth?

I was using Nivea - too expensive and then found some Gillette(?) women’s shaving gel left over from an ex- and that has worked well but it foams up a bunch and clogs up the razor a ton.

Ladies or Men feel free to comment…

I use “Kiss My Face” brand for face and legs. It is non- aerosol, lasts a long time and does a great job. I get it at Whole Foods.

Soap.

Bath and body works mango/mandarin foamy mousse. You as use as shaving cream and soap. plus it smells good.

I honestly thought you were joking when you posted that.

I thought you meant “Be Brave Soldier” and just go sans shaving creme.

Looks like I’ve been reading your posts too long and got myself all konfuzed.

being a poor grad student, i just use generic brand conditioner. i didn’t believe it would work at first, but after trying it, i am sold. stays on much better than most shave gels, too, so you don’t have to re-apply. it also comes off the razor pretty easily (just put razor up to shower head for a sec).

When you say “conditioner” do you mean hair conditioner or skin conditioner?

sorry—just the plain old hair conditioner. i’m using a cheap version of suave conditioner right now that works great. no buring sensation afterwards, no redness–nothin’ but smooth legs. now that i think about it, a female training partner let me in that little secret (wish i could take credit).

The best shave gel I ever used I found at the Wal-Mart in Panama Beach City at IMFL 3 years ago. It was clear and marketed for atheltes. I actually bought it as a joke, but tried it and found it was the best thing for shaving. It was extremely slick and being clear it was easy to see where you were shaving. Unfortunately when I ran out I checked WalMart & then searched On-line & could find no info on the product or the co. I don’t remember the name, but the co. was out of Clairmont FL, I think.

Plain old Baby Shampoo/Soap works great. With two kids, we keep a large dispenser in the shower. I’ll have to try the hair conditioner and compare now.
