Teva or Reef Brazil.
Chaco flips or, gasp, Crocs…
Bob
I have a pair from Reef that have a bottle opener built into the sole. Very handy for barbecues and beach parties! They’re pretty comfy too…
rainbows! lifetime warranty and they come in hemp and leather and many different colors. they also shape to your feet. the zoot ones make your feet smell
Ya. The ones with the bottle opener are cool. But what happens when you step in dog sh-t?
You open your friend’s bottle first

kai kais. got em from a shop in montauk. best pair of flops i have owned.
Reefs rock
.
Adidas sports slides- striped tops. They were a Midwestern swimmer thing when I was growing up, and I ended up going back to them after a flirtation with Tevas for a while.
Anything with velcro straps is going to wear out far quicker than shoes that don’t.
I got a pair of Sanuk’s from my wife for Father’s Day. Extremely comfortable, but some whould argue they are not sandals. I’ve heard they repel stink as well. We’ll see.
Crocs
.
I just got a pair of Chaco flip flops yesterday…first time I’ve ever seen them. I got them on a recommendation at the “walking shoe store”, as I needed something with support.
Btw, my trusted local running shop dropped Crocs as they feel that the shoes are unsupportive and create the exact type of foot problems that they are working to fix with proper shoe recommendations
+1 on Sanuck’s.
Chaco. For sure. They give the best support with out that “OMG my feet are sweating more than the rest of my body.”
I have had mine for 2 years now and they are awesome. I wear them everyday. You can send them in to get rewebbed and resoled. Excellent company. Excellent turnover when you need to send them in.
Plus, you don’t get that feeling of wearing giant rubber duck feet. (Just kidding Croc wearers).
be a true poser and get “Zoot RECOVERY” slides. oh boy! add “recovery” to the name and people will pay $60 for a $5 flip flop!
Keens are the greatest shoes ever.
Me - Crocs.
Wife - Chacos. She loves them. Plus, they can be put in the washing machine. She has had them for several years. (I ought to get a pair.)

Sorry, all you Crocs-wearers, but those are the ugliest things on the planet and an extreme fashion faux pas. The only way you could make it worse, is to wear them with black socks.
Crocs are for kids. Women can also pull off wearing them. But for guys, seriously, just no.
My choices are the standard teva, or some brand of flip-flop.
I have Chacos, and while provide support and are comfortable, they are HEAVY.

I swear by Montrails that you put in the oven and they mold to your foot. More expensive than your usual flip flop but worth it.
