Pick up some dritz elastic at your local Wal-mart or amazon. Cut it to size, tie a knot, double knot it and attach the bib number with safety pins. This is what Frodeno and many use. It is cheaper and lighter by about 15g if IIRC while dry, and you don’t have to worry about the buckle. Just slip it on over your head out running out of transition. I also find it is more durable and gives better than the race bands that are on the market.

Simple and it’s easy to carry gel packs.

Another one is with a small pouch, so I can carry a car key or other stuff such as a Hotshot bottle for a long distance race:

They are cheap and some races give it out for free, so you can get a couple of those and try it out.

I’d like to find one similar to this, that has a small pouch, but located on the back of the belt, not the front. Can the pouch on this one be moved?

I use an elastic shoelace. Leave it loose, the pull
It tight after it’s over my head.

Keep nutrition in a baggie and shove in my top.

Somehow the pouch is always on the bib(front) side and it’s fixed there.
I think you can cut the strings, sew so you can move them to the other side.

HOWEVER, the 2 bib holders on the front are on either side of the buckle, so to me it makes it really awkward.

It’s a little expensive but I use the T1 belt… it uses magnets to attach the belt vs. a clip. The number attachment parts slide and work for various bib sizes, works well and zero complaints.
