Best option to clean grease off frame?

I have a P2 Aluminum Cervelo frame and the white “E” and white Cervelo lettering is not really white anymore. Any “trick” to get that bright white agaian?

The enviornmentally green friendly products don’t work to remove the stain/grease.

Was thinking about using diluted bleach/water?

Any thoughts…

Good ole WD40 on one of those blue shop towels…thats my go to for grease on the frame if Windex doesn’t do the trick…

cheers

A Mr. Clean magic sponge.

Baby wipes. No idea what effect they have on kids arses, but removes body marking in no time and grease and grime from bike frames in a jiffy.

Dish washing liquid is what I use for grease on a frame.

Hey, that’s my trick. Works great!

I was thinking a P4 or paying for 1/2 of my wedding?! Lol

I guess the baby wipes are worth a try but this is tough grease that has been there a while not a dried up piece of crap…lol

Dawn dish soap is what I usually use… cut grease just like in the commercials.

It took me awhile to look at responses when I had my P2 SL. Mr Clean sponge has always been recommended and it works!

dawn dish soap or pedros citrus degreaser

Two I haven’t seen posted yet. Iemon pledge or Formula 409.

x3. Even works quite well on chains.

If you try everyone’s suggestions on the forum and the grease is still there, give de-solve-it a try. You can get it from ace hardware. It’s a water-free citrus based degreaser that’s environmentally friendly and incredibly effective. I forget who on the ST forum turned me on to the stuff, but it’s magic.

windex ftw

x1 on the De-Solv-It. It the hands down degreaser especially for chains with no scrubbing required.

My girlfriend showed me a cool trick. She hoards the make-up remover wipes from hotels. I watched her clean her bike with one in about a minute. Baby wipes also work very well.

Again Dawn dish soap. Use the Lemon Pledge after the bike is clean, polishes nice and gives smooth finish to clean up dirt and grime.

As for chain cleaning… I have one of those plastic coffee jugs with about 1.5" worth of Simple Green in it. My normal routine is to remove the chain from the bike (Wipperman Connex link), soak it in Simple Green for a couple of hours (shaking a few times during that couple of hours), then rinse with clean water, dry, install and lube. I don’t scrub, either.

The Simple Green does a decent job, but it could be better. How do you clean your chain using the De-Solv-It, and just how clean does the chain get? I wonder if it works better than Simple Green.?.
