Just got back from the Timberman sprint (NH) yesterday and realized this race is really starting to kick butt. Voted best in the country last year, they just added a special race where all fifty states best sprint course racers were invited to compete. 35 or so showed up. It was cooled to see these guys and gals walking their bikes around before with the state they were from written next to their number. Talked about ripped legs…some of these people where incredible looking.
Interestingly, the leader came out of the water after ripping it up and tripped in the sand right in front of where I was standing and fell flat on his face. I looked at the guy next to me and said, “if THIS guy is having problems, WE are in big trouble.”
