Best new UCI-legal Tri bike with disc-brakes

Since i am going to do some TT in addition to triathlon (mainly 70.3´s, but going to try a 140.6 later) i´m looking for a new bike.
I have a S-Works Shiv Tri 2014 model now, that is not UCI-legal. Love the bike, but it has to go. I also have a old Canyon Speedmax for UCI-TT´s this year, wich i also intend to sell.

My fit numbers are a 660mm pad stack (BB to top of arm pad) and 466mm pad reach (back of pad).
So the bike needs to be able to have a pretty high stack. The addition of bento boxes and/or draft box for doing tri´s is great, like the P5.

To problem is also availability. I guess that getting a bike this year even might be tough…

I have looked around and found that the following bikes are good alternatives, with some pro´s and cons.

Do anyone have any experience or recommendations? I would greatly appreciate it!

Cervelo P5 disc

  • Great looks, nice cockpit
  • Nice bento boxes and downtube bottle that can work for storage(?)
  • Aftermarket draft boxes available
  • Expensive
  • Very agressive base bar?
  • ?

Argon 18 E118 Tri+ Disc

  • Looks cool
Does it have Bento box mounting bolts?
  • Very agressive base bar?
  • Hard to fit to my stack and reach?

Orbea Ordu

  • Good prices here
  • Looks a bit weird?
  • No bento box bosses
  • Very agressive and narrow base bars

BMC Time machine Disc

  • Draft box included
Does it have bento box mounting bolts?
Might need to have the Y-cockpit for my stack, is that uci-legal?

Yes the E-118 has bosses for a bento.

E-118 is too small - the large named size is really a medium as it’s intended for UCI positions. Would not be as stable as your other options

BMC TMO1 L would be fine with flat cockpit, not excessive spacers to get your stack

P5 would be good for stability, but you would have the riser fairly high

Note that tilting would raise the riser ~1mm per degree

I would add the Cube Aerium TT to that list. It is UCI legal, has disc brakes, and you can add the same hydration/bento storage as the tri version

Vitus Auro is another possibility

.

Thank you for advice!

The Cube Aerium TT seems to be available in Europe (i´m from Norway), so that is a possibility. Looks like a nice integrated drinking system and bento box as well.

I have gotten an offer for a Argon 18 E118 Tri+, and have a hard time getting a hand on the other bikes. Seems like both Cervelo and BMC struggle to deliver my size This year.

Do anyone have experience with the E118, will it be best with a size L for me? Is the base bar so low that i will struggle? I usually stay in the aerobars most of the time, and generally don’t stand while climbing anyways. So the low basebar is not a big problem, but i more upright position while climbing is more comfortable.

Is the Cube Aerium a quick bike? Anyone with experienced there?
