Best/most adjustable clip-on aerobars?

I’m planning on racing my road bike for a particularly hilly/technical tri next year, and I need to find a set of clip-on aerobars that allow me to tweak my position and get comfortable. I have heard a lot of good things about the Zipp Vuka Alumnia Clip, but I’d like to know the experiences of others. Profile Design, Vision, Hed, Bontrager, all sorts of stuff out there, what have people found comfortable and adjustable?

Depends of course how you’re defining adjustability. From my N=1 the Jammer GT by Profile Design allowed a good range of adjustment. Unfortunately not much else I can say to somehow back that up, but I put a link below.

Zipp Vuka Aluminum is awesome. Very big range of adjustment. I have these on my tri bike. That’s what I’d recommend.

The HED ones that flip up are great if you are going to be climbing a lot – it’s nice how they flip out of the way of the hoods, especially if you have narrower bars.

I got myself the ENVE ones and they are really nice as well, and I got them for a technical triathlon where I used my road bike.

Yep, Zipp Vuka is excellent. I have the carbon version.

Not only are they very adjustable but also you can buy each part induvidually, so the choices available are most impressive. This also means if you decide to change something - say, ski bend bars rather than race bend - then you can do so eithout any real problem.

One pont worth considering though is thatbthey use torcx bolts, so make dure you have the correct tool. I always use a torque wrench too (best investment I ever made).

I have the Profile Design T2+, they’re ok, not spectacular. Adjustability is only so so, and the pads are not super comfortable. If I were to buy another set it would be the Zipp ones, they’re remarkably good priced compared to other Zipp products and have greater adjustability, especially the independently movable pads seems great. Spacers too.

The Profile T2+ is probably the most adjustable bar out there. It’s not high end, but great if this is just for occasional use; and as a starter bar to dial in position.

Disclaimer, blatant Ad: I have a pair of HED Cliplites I’m looking to sell cheap (for 26.0 handlebars). PM me if interested.

Sorry, 26.0 won’t fit.

Are the T1/T3/T4/T5 similarly adjustable? Or is the T2 moreso?

Similarly adjustable.

The key is that the armrests can be moved fore/aft along the extensions (vs. just a few adjustments relative to the basebar clamps). The Zipp Aluminas also do this; I typically recommend the Profiles, since once you get the position dialed in you can then select from a wide array of bars that can support that position.
