So, you saved up all your pocket money for your new steed that you are soooo proud of. Could you be riding the ugliest bike in the transition or the best looking one. Based on appearance/looks/cool factor alone. What are your faves and what are your dogs (I mean the ones that make cringe to look at).
My faves: This years P3, Slice.

That’s funny - I just bought a Shiv and my second choice was QR. I don’t think we can be friends.
I’m not a fan of the huge front ends on the Shiv or the P5.
The P3 is a nice looking bike though.
For whatever reason, I really am not a fan of the Cervelo P4. I especially don’t like that aero bottle in the frame.
I like the shiv. It has so many features I would want in a tri bike…but it’s so damn ugly.
Faves: Felt DA, New P3, Scott Plasma Premium, Shiv TT, Illicito
Dogs: Shiv Tri, Slice RS (seatpost is a dealbreaker)
I can’t decide what to do with the P5.
LOL! I do like the 1st Shiv (before the integrated water bottle) more than the new model but they both look good. I do like the QR look too and the Look, Transition, sloping top tubes seems sexy to me. I would have gottne the QR too if I didn’t get a transition for a good price. I’ll add in the P5, D6 and TM01 on the looks. I do like how most TT bikes look though.
Ugly: Slice RS (the seatpost just looks out of place), Argon (the diamond shaped), Willier Trestina Twinfoil

Salesman at the store was pushing the Shiv hard. I told him no offense, but I don’t care how fast it is, I find it ugly so that’s a deal breaker. My fav is the now old P3 with the curved seat tube, but the new P3 is a very close second.
The new Orbea Ordu is my favorite looking tri bike ever. It was between that and a 2012 Felt B2 with Di2. I chose Di2 and other upgrades over looks, though I think the B2 looks pretty good.

I’d have to qualify my Slice choice as Non RS because yes the RS seat post is Fugly. I mean only an engineer would do that. They could have made an attempt to provide an aesthetic seat post.

Not really into looks but i like my Shiv!! 
BMC TM01 is my favorite. Looks especially good with Easton wheels - not sure why:
Dislike: Having a hard time falling in love with the Shiv. Kinda like a girl who is hot, but not pretty. You want to talk to her at the bar, but you don’t want to bring her home.
For the record I ride a Speed Concept 7.0.
For looks alone:

I generally just prefer the look of angular looking bikes.
Function (speed) trumps aesthetics, so I’ll only ride what’s the fastest for my budget.

I would argue for most riders on ST that these bikes compare fairly closely regardless of their aerodynamics. The rider certainly makes the biggest factor with the tool at hand. I would certainly prefer my bike to look pleasing to my eyes. The balance look of those big front end bikes are just wrong. Reminds me of an old quote “if you cant buy beautiful, buy British” although I think they must have talking cars. For looks alone:

Not exclusively a Tri bike, but my favorite design would hands down go to the Canyon Speedmax CF Evo. Always and forever will be a sucker for minimalism.
