Best Ipod headphones for running

Having problems with the headphones staying in when I start to sweat. I’ve tried a few different Apple headphones but not having much luck. Anyone having the same problem? I guess I’m asking what headphones everyone is using.

The new Bose Triport IE in ear headphones have been working great for me this year. The sound is incredible and they stay put, even on hot sweaty days…

I bought some $10 Phillips “Behind the ear” ones at Target and they work great. I mean, spend all you want, but in the end I go for functionality and cost effectiveness over being able to hear the singlualr notes of the backup guitarist on a given track. .

I 2nd the Bose rec. Amazing sound and they don’t fall out. Unfortunately mine were stolen :frowning:

Definitely the Bose!

Just read this story before seeing this post (short version is woman was hit by train while running and they think iPod may have been part of pblm):

Just a reminder to all of us that we have to be a little more careful; as there is a tendency to zone out a little when listening to the music.

Sony Sports water resistant.

Shure E2’s
.

Sony makes some fantastic ones that clip around your earlobes. They never fall off and they cost $12 at Target.

I second Shure E2’s. I picked these up because they were recommended by audiologists. You do not need to have to volume on loud to hear great sounding music. The noise cancelling ability is great. It comes with many earpieces so you can get a comfortable fit.

These are the sports. I third this one, but not for running or biking. No distractions.

Nike also makes a pair of headphones with shorter cable specifically for running.

Just curious, if you are wearing behind the ear headphones, can you still wear glasses comfortably? Just wondering if you can be wearing sunglasses while wearing these as I still bend the arms of my sunglasses to go slightly down behind the ear.

blue sony behind ear headphones, best ive ever used
.

I have tried a few, but the best ones so far are the sony sports over the head model. For some reason I just didn’t like the over the ear ones. I also thought the in the ear ones would be great, but when it gets a little cold, they start to pop out.

I have had really good luck with the Sennheiser Twist To Fit headphones. They are water resistant and have
different sized ear pieces to fit whatever ear type you have. No band around your head, just twist into your
ear and your ready for action. They stay in and keep working even when you start to sweat. My Sony’s Sports
would stop working if they got too much moisture in the earpiece.

They sound good for sports headphones. Sennheiser makes very nice audiophile quality headphones so they
definitely know what they’re doing.

google JVC’s “gummy” headphones… they have a rubber-ish material and wont get mucker with sweat, and they only cost like $7 on Buy.com or Amazon… It’s silly IMO to buy $100 Bose headphones for an in-the-ear headphone. All earbuds have good sound quality.

Sure E2’s
.

Sure E2s. Super comfortable fit and they block out the outside noise so you don’t have to crank up the volume as much. On quiet passages you can hear your heartbeat though. Kinda neat.

I use the foam covers that came with the old ones, and use the standard iPod ear phones. You can find sets of the foam covers at the Dollar Store. Run the cord up and over the back strap of your hat, then to the device. Or, put a piece of electrical tape on the cord and safety pin it to your cap, then to the device. The new shuffle comes with a shorter cord that doesn’t reach very well to your waist for shirtless running. I get a new one about every 9 months - last time jumping in the ocean with the shuffle still attached to my shorts. No, the warranty doesn’t cover this.
