So I was thinking about this the other day. Gonna buy a nice watch and leave the Fenix off for awhile and want to keep the heart rate capture going. What’s the best HRM that syncs with Garmin Connect? Prefer wrist based obviously.
Not sure I’m understanding your question, as the answer would be one of the MARQ range - best wrist HRM that syncs to connect. If you mean best but cheaper than a Fenix, well a 955, but that’s not smaller or much cheaper.
I have a Fenix 5x. I’ve worn a 5x for four years as my daily driver? I’m going to a regular watch and just want something to keep my heart rate. I was looking at Scosch or PowrLabs.
You want something you can wear 24/7 and syncs HR data to Garmin Connect? The only thing I think that fits that criteria is one of Garmin’s activity trackers like the vÃvosmart 5. (I think the vÃvosmart 4 is a little smaller and may be better, but both are very good at that simple task.)
Thanks, yeah that seems to be the best bet. Was hoping I could find a cheaper option though. Alas, doesn’t seem so.
I had a couple of the earlier Gamin trackers when I was clinging on to wearing my Tag as my main watch, and just using the FR901XT for workouts/races. And they weren’t great. Can’t remember which ones I had, but they failed and got replaced, didn’t have the longevity that I expect (and I note you’re on Fenix 5 so share my view to not change to latest every time there’s a new model out. The wrist sensors I found were cheap to buy, but for me I never got any Fitbit or Garmin to survive 12 months.
