Best helmet for my position

I think the POC is not the most earo helmet for my position. what are good ones, that closes the gap?
I don’t want a helm that is for the looking down position

Dijk bij Pannerden?

Maybe a Giro Aerohead?

One with a long(er) tail might be more aero, but only when in position…

Dijk bij Pannerden? correct 😀
.

That a tri or TT optimized position?

Lots of it these days is about yaw and a comfy head position for tri. Hence the bobtails.

For TT? That’s not optimally turtled for any helmet change to “fill that in”. Fill it in with a fit change and more turtle.

The Tempor went back into favor for the trackies for that transition to the back but their yaw indoors is “effectively” zero. Outdoors, it isn’t.

There’s all sorts of stuff like the Adwatt and Aerohead. Make friends with different equipment and try some stuff I guess. Or spend a lot of coin buying/selling.

It is for TT. Short, 10-25 mile distances

You might want LG P-09 which Lionel Sanders uses. Tail end definitely fills the gap.

Is the MET drone similar, is better available in europe

dude honestly without testing just buy the helmet that makes you feel the fastest. Or get the aerohead, it’s pretty hard to beat that. You’ve got the 1 helmet that often ties it on a yaw angle or two and sometimes nips it at the line

You’d think after testing 100s of hours in the wind tunnel I’d have picked up a trend line between long, short and no tail helmets. Yet other then the Aerohead being the current sure bet and a different brand being a sure bet to go slower flip a coin and you still won’t be 100% sure

I run a Met Drone and it fills the gap well for me. If you are only riding a shorter race I would look at the Kask Mistral or the like. You can see how well it integrates on the Profile advert probably on your screen now and readily available in Europe. I like the Drone because it has a volume of air around the face making it cooler otherwise I would consider a Kask. The new Kask version has a larger rear vent and may be cooler.
