My Bontrager floor pump crapped out after only 2 years (leaking head unit). Any recommendations on a floor pump that will last?
Topeak Joe Blow Pro.
I beat the hell out of this thing, and it’s been worth every penny.
Can’t tell you how many times it’s been dropped, run over, fallen off of car, etc.
My wife bought her Bontrager one 4 years ago and we’ve both used it since. Works perfectly every time. Black base with a red tube.
Lezyne.
I switched after snapping off another valve stem using a brand with a quick attachment and haven’t regretted it for a minute. The Lezyne’s screw-on head is much more secure and easier to use. If you have removable valve cores, just make sure they’re firmly screwed in.
I’ve used this one from Specialized for the last three years, and it’s been great. I would recommend it to anyone.

X2 on the Joe Blow.
Amazing pump. Solid and very easy to use.

I’ve got a similar Specialized that has been rock solid for 5+ years. My previous pump was/is a Blackburn with a “lifetime” guarantee. The problem is they no longer make the bits for the pump head and the seals/rubber bits are degraded.
I bought a joe blow pro last year and it is definitely the best pump I have owned
.

Real mechanics use only Silca pumps.

I will second that! Have 2 both over 15 years old and working fine.
By “head unit” you mean the part that goes on the valve?
If that’s it get a Topeak replacement hose and head unit kit.
I used a succession of cheaper pumps, including a Blackburn, before finally getting a Topeak Joe Blow Pro. It was fantastic. Someone stole it a few months ago, and I immediately replaced it with another, which is just as good. I highly recommend the Topeak (and I’m sure the Lezyne and Silca are good as well, but I don’t have any experience with those).
this thing rocks

Third that. My Silca track pump is going on 20 years, and it’s my second. The only reason it’s my second is because the first one was stolen. Sure, it’s gone through a couple grommets (third one is going in soon), but they’re easy to maintain, and virtually bulletproof.
Real mechanics use only Silca pumps. Long live the Super Pista!
I have a specialized that’s lasted for years and is still running strong. It outlasted my silca but recently I got a craftsman cordless inflator that is absolutely awesome. Much better than any manual pump.
+7 (or whatever the count is) on the Joe Blow Pro.

Ok. Good thing I saw this thread. My pump crapped out. Was curious to try something new that could take more of a beating.
+1. i have also had an indestructible specialized, but the joe blow is much better. faster, more accurate, easier to inflate with.
