I’m after a good cushioned trail shoe with decent drop and wide toe box
Any recommendations?
Thanks
Brooks Caldera are very nice.
I love my Nike Zegama 2s - however, may not be the best for toe-box width.
@Jon
How’s the toe box size?
Thanks
They are not narrow. I have Morton’s neuroma and small toe box shoes bother me, but these don’t. Not as wide as Altras or Topo shoes are.
I’m enjoying Topo Ultraventures. Nice roomy toebox and pretty plush without being stacked to the point of being stilts. Grippy, modest lugs that are ok with a bit of road in between the trails.
I’m on what I think are my 3rd or 4th pair of Hoka Speedgoats. I like them quite a bit. One thing worth noting is that, as far as I understand it, Hokas have relatively little drop, but as someone who liked other shoes with more drop, I don’t notice it with the Hokas.
In the past, when I ran on trails that had lots of little rocks, I liked the Cascadias, b/c of their rock plate, but that’s not an issue where I am now so haven’t worn them in a while.
Check out the Altra Mont Blanc. The Salomon S/Lab Pulsar and NNormal Kjerag are also worth a try.
Puma Nitro Deviate Elite Trails look good.
Been running in the Saucony Xodus Ultra 3. Love this shoe. Quite roomy toe box and a good amount of rebound despite how cushioned it is.
