Switching my Zero G’s back to Dura Ace on TT bike . Tired of fiddling with them for time being. So What are the best performance wise carbon brake pads for the lowest amount and where to get them ? Thanks for the help.
SwissStop Yellow are the best I have used.
I have not tried the Zipp Tangente but they are getting very good reviews.
everybody seems to recommend swiss stop yellows, they are about $50 brand new.
i read a few articles on zipps site, these seem to come in second to, naturally, zipps own. i think they cited melting issues on huge descents.
i talked to jordan & a few others and have heard rave reviews of zipp tangente, but good luck finding them for less than about $75.
i picked up a pair of generic cork pads, i think bontrager, i think i’ll give those a shot.
I did a quick search and found zipps here:

.
yeah, i mean you paid for the wheels might as well man up on the brakes too, but they’re not cheap.
thought i’d have to imagine it’s pretty much a buy-once sort of thing, not like race wheels get used or braked on often.

Zipp Tangente are notably better than SwissStop yellow, which are still very good, just “grabbier” than the Zipps.
Will using the carbon pads effect braking on a Fp60 wheel ? Will they hurt the wheel or cause other then normal wear to the brake pad or braking track Good to hear from you Jordan.

FP = aluminum braketrack. Tangente is ONLY for carbon rims.
How about the swiss stop. I have them on the zero g’s now and thet seem to work fine on the Fp60’s and okay on the sub9 except when its wet. Jordan sorry if I sound like such a newb but It is my first time using all carbon rims . So I guess I am

SwissStop yellow works well on aluminum, but not quite as well as SwissStop green (their aluminum wet weather pad). SwissStop Yellow is best if you want just one pad for all four arms and you have clincher & tubular mix.
