Best car for putting bike inside?

Honda Element - I don’t have one but would like one for this very reason.

Yet, I do have a close second - I have a 1985 VW Vanagon Westfalia. I can easily haul several bike as long as no one is in the back. This would be the ultimate vehicle except I think my bike is faster.

dodge caravan here. i roll my bike across, behind the driver’s seat…don’t take off a wheel or move seats. i love it.
peggy

I like my Honda CRV. With the backseats down, I can lay my bike right in without taking the front wheel off. I can fit two bikes in it vertically w/ the front wheels off.

Toyota Sienna

Hahaha…is it bad that I immediately thought of 40 year old virgin when I read this?

“I hope you have a big trunk, 'cause I’m gonna put my bike in it!”

One you don’t mind getting dirty.

Honda Odyssey. All bikes can stand up without removing anything - most SUV’s are not high enough inside and require you to lay them down.
With the Odyssey you can stand the bikes up with room to spare and still have the whole second row for people.

Can’t beat a mini van. You can put two bikes, two kids, two suit cases, scuba gear and a black lab into one and still have lots of leg room.

I can put my bike in the back of my 1999 Ford Taurus without taking the front wheel off.

If I take the front wheels off I can easily fit 2 bikes.

Definitely not a 1999 nissan Sentra… Hehehe

i’d go with a pickup and some qr in the box…

Other than some type of van the only other car I know of that you can roll your bike in without taking either wheel off is the Honda Element. I’ve got one and love it.

I rock the minivan for sure. There is a whole minivan posse of triathletes and cyclists in Boulder.

If you need more cool factor, the Honda Ridgeline has a sweet feature where the rear seats fold up and you can roll a bike right in. My neighbor is 6’4" and has a XL Transition and his rolls in no problem.

If you want a car, the older saab hatchbacks fold down quite nice and have an amazing amount of room. Cool cars too. Not sure about the new Saab.

Everyone seems to like the Honda Element for functionality, but i think it’s so freakin ugly and drives like shit. At least my minivan is like driving your living room couch around.

And those are only within this quarter (many fans of the Honda Fit BTW).

Does the mini-van come with a head shave and a vasectomy?

(just kidding, I’ve rented them and they are pretty well loaded/comfortable vehicles once you past the mini-van part)

x2 -dodge / chrysler / toyota vans are the way to go unless you go for something larger

Dodge RAM 2500 or 3500.

Topless wrangler here, what is this “inside” you speak of?
