Best bike fitter in Boulder

Looking for a Tri bike fit in Boulder. They have a Retul fitter here, but I’ve also heard Colorado Multisports is good. Any opinions? I’ve been having hip/adductor tightness in one leg and hoping a professional fit might resolve it a bit. Thank you in advance.

All the guys at CMS are top-notch with regard to tri fitting. Tim set me up the beginning of the year and drastically moved me forward 4cm in both the saddle and cockpit. I’ve never been more comfortable in long distance riding and feel like its a very powerful position. Ryan and Geoff are both highly recommended from friends who have been fit by them as well.

I would go to Roger at Adrenaline trisports in Niwot. He is FIST certified. He will not give you any"attitude" either.

My wife got a great fit at the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine when her doctor referred her for an IT band issue - and it was only a $20 copay.

For my tri bike I went to Colorado Multisport - Ryan Ignatz did a great job to get me fit comfortably on the bike. Of course, it was quite a bit more than $20.

Ryan Ignatz at Colorado Multisport.

The fitters there have fit at least 70% of the pros in Boulder and thus something like 20-25% of the top pros in triathlon on the whole. I would guess, maybe I’m being generous.

Either way they are very good, very well qualified, and have a great attitude about how and why to apply fit to a given athlete.

thanks everyone CMS it is!

Don’t rush out to CMS just yet; I believe the best bike fit on boulder is Todd Carver who is now the Retul Bike fitter in Boulder. Prior to my bike fit last week I was sitting very uneven on my bike and the Retul system was able to measure both sides of my body and compare my leg lengths and power on each side which worked out to be a 20 watt difference and was able to even the power out put on each of my legs. Retul has previously Fit the whole Garmin Choplte team, Torbjorn, Chris Legh, Leon Griffin, Sam Mcglone, and Craig Alexander who is ment to be taking the system back to Australia.

The simplest way to describe Retul is it takes in any previous injuries you may of had and find the best position for you taking that into account as well as comfort and Aero dynamics.

I had a good experience with my bike fit and recommend Retul to everybody!

hands down…Todd Carver with Retul.

Those guys have technology that very few have in Colorado. From what I can see, there are a few shops with retul in colorado, but my team has all had fits from a variety of different fitters, shops, coaches over the years and there is a reason we chose Retul as a sponsor.

i want to know my data and fine tune my fit around my season. There is a place for biomechanical neutrality and there is a place for full-on aggressive race mode. I can only get this data from Todd and his retul (or at BCSM too - which as a disclaimer…is the first place I got this kind of fit done and it was awesome, but Todd did it when he worked there and I liked him, so I stuck with him when he went to Retul).
