Well… if you only need key metrics and no mapping, the Wahoo BOLT is probably the value leade at $250. The Garmin Edge 130 does power too, and is cheaper. But it is a touch more basic than the BOLT.
If you already have the wahoo, what are the problems? People rave about them. Maybe you can just figure out what is wrong and keep the gear you’ve got.
Either the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt or the Garmin Edge 520 Plus. I do have the 520 Plus and I love it. Also seems to be a great deal currently since the 530 came out (also an option)

It shows half the power as confirmed by Wahoo
Also the garmin watch is interfering with the power reading
Also confirmed by wahoo technical support
Also doesn’t use the new upgraded features from assioma

I have the bolt
Do you use it with Assioma pedals including the new upgrade from assioma?
I’ve heard it does not
Does Your garmin 935 shows full power for Assioma duo?

You use the garmin 520 and it with the Assioma duel and it works?
I’ve heard it does it work with the new Assioma upgrade per dc rainmaker
Yes, I have the Garmin 1030, 530, and 945. All show full power correctly from my Assioma Duo pedals. My old 520 worked perfectly with the Assiomas as well. When I saw your other post, it made me wonder if you have a funky Assioma firmware thing going on.
Thank you for the info
3 questions please
Wahoo acknowledges problems with Assiomas
Garmin 520 shows the cycling dynamics update for the Assiomas? If so I’ll get rid of the wahoo and get the 520
3 WHY so many bike computers lol
😀
Aaah. I do not have a Wahoo bike computer, so I did not know the problem was a thing.
Yes, per DCR, I believe the 520 also got the Assioma pedal dynamics compatibility. It is pretty cool. I love data and graphs and stuff.
I used to have just 1 bike computer, the 520, that I would swap between my road bike and TT bike. I got a great deal on a 1030 for a big bike camp I did, so I snagged that. It is totally awesome, but it would not fit on my TT bike between the extensions, so I kept my 520 for the TT bike and use the 1030 on the road bike. But, I really liked the improved UI & mapping of the 1030. So, when they came out with the 530, I got that for my TT bike and gave my old 520 to a friend. I use the 945 exclusively for running, swimming, and races. Though, I also use the 530 in races because it is way easier to read than a watch on a bike.
NICE!!
