Amazon has several ‘off brand’ options … curious if anyone has had any luck with those as well from a quality standpoint.

no such thing. speedo’s only.
All of my jammers I get from swimoutlet.com and get the dolphin uglies or something out of their clearance section. Never have had issue with them. the fall towards the bottom of your price range as well.

Exactly. Whatever money you save by buying cheaper ones will cost you more in the long run because the speedo endurance ones will last a long, long time.
I buy these basic Arena “Max Life” poly jammers:
One pair of drag shorts last 10x longer then jammers. Embrace the embarrassment the first couple times you’re walking from the locker room to the pool.

Speedo Endurance. Don’t bother with anything else. I bought a Speedo Powerflex Brief. It was the red and black splice brief. It was completely discolored within 2-3 months and trashed.
I wear the black Speedo Endurance jammer and it’s currently the only piece of swimwear that I own. One pair can last around 12 months swimming about 5 days a week. I won’t consider anything else now other than Endurance.

Swimoutlet. Go to the sale section and they have all the major brands. I usually just get a grab bag suit. Last one I got the color was out of style hahaha

I bought two pairs at an Izod outlet store (for $11 each!!) maybe 3 years ago and I’m still on the first pair, with no signs of them breaking down yet - averaged 2 swims/week in that time.
I like TYR jammers that don’t have the seam down the middle in the front. I buy from swimoutlet.com and can generally find a pair for less than $30 that will last me roughly a year with 3-4 swims a week.

Order a few of the grab bag suits. I like TYR and Nike the best.
So far nothing too ridiculous has shown up. Seems best bang for your buck IMO.

X??? There really is no material better than Speedo Endurance. Their suits will last 2x-3x as long which almost always puts you ahead moneywise
another vote for Swimoutlet.com either their grabbag suits, or the Sporti line. I have a few pair of Sporti. The colors fade after a few washes, but the jammers themselves have held up well.
Lost n found at the pool. Spend the $25 on a full body wax.

Thats what ive found too. Just spend the extra 10 bucks and get the Speedo Endurance and they last twice as long as cheepo ones ive bought
I should start this with I don’t swim Masters just tri. Recently I bought one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HGMGX7I/ref=twister_B01HGMGVSO?th=1 and it seems to work well. Water beads off it so if you get the perfect fit it might even be fast. For me it’s comfy, looks spiffy, and was less than $20. Sometimes, not always it gets loose around my thigh so just be aware if you’re racing in it. But other than that pretty decent for the money.
FYI if you have an American Express card swimoutlet is on of the instant cash back deals. $5 off a $25 purchase (I believe it expires end of this week though). Just a way to save a few bucks. I’ve bought a few of the mystery grab bags and got some decent TYR jammers for about $25ish (forget exactly but it was around that price).
