After following the comments on the official speed concept thread, it is clear that the 2 pack aero rear hydration made specifically for the SC will not be available for this season.
Can anyone suggest a behind the seat bottle cage that I can buy until Trek releases the one for the SC? I need 2 bottles back there and would like some integrated storage for extra gels on long training rides.
I just ordered another Minoura, the same thing I used on my TTX and I’ll get two more Bontrager tri cages for it. As for integrated storage, what about the top tube storage compartment?

I have the the top tube storage on my SC but it only holds 5 or 6 gels. I typically take in a gel every 30 mins on 100+ mile rides. I wanted to store a few extra in the rear. It’s not that big of a deal because I only do 2 race rehearsals rides (112 mi) during training so I’m sure I can get by. I’ll take a look at the Minoura.
Just got a SC and it’s my first tri bike. I hear tons of stories about water bottles being launched from the behind the seat cages and I don’t need that. A buddy of mine suggested the gorilla cages to make sure things stay put.
I’m guessing the Bontrager Race Lite Rear Cage Holder isn’t that reliable or people would have suggested that already on this thread. So what keeps bottles in place and should I know anything else about behind the seat cages?
Awesome insight- thanks! I decided to go with a pretty simple carbon mount for between the handlebars, made by profile design. That gorilla cage is on my wish list if I feel I need space for another bottle. And yes, these are mainly for heat training and when I start upping my distances past half ironman training :). Thanks!
