BB86 vs BB86.5

I’m building up a trek emonda alr. Trek says it takes 86.5 bottom bracket. All the pressfit bbs are bb86, I’m hoping the trek 86.5 means bb86. I prefer a straight fit over a kit for a range sizes.

You can purchase our BB screw on and it will fit 86-92. For Shimano spinal (24 mm) It has ceramic bearings.

As far as I can see it’s the same

.

Same.

Hey JeffJ
did you start the Emonda drivetrain upgrade?

I am considering upgrading my Emonda to a Sram Force hrd 1x11

Mike

I thought all the new Treks have moved to T47 BB’s.

only the SLR series were changed over.

So it still has the Trek only standard of bearings pressed directly into the frame then.
