Hi all,
I have a 2010 Kuota KOM with Kuota branded Stronglight cranks with BB30 bottom bracket, specs are here:

Question is: are all BB30 bearings the same? Can I go and buy these and have no issues?

Thanks for the help
yes, the BB30 standard means that all the press fit bearings should be the same.
I know the cranks to which you refer (just removed a set from a Kult for a Quarq install) and the bearings are different to standard BB30 bearings and specific to that crank.
They are are also a bugger to get out without the whole thing falling apart and little bearings flying everywhere, done ask me how I know this…

I had no idea. i knwo that the BB30 on Vuma Quads are a bit different but I though all the press fits were the same.
Yes those will work. Your best bet for BB30 is getting Hybrid Enduros.
Ok,
Between my LBS, Kuota NA, R&A Cycles, etc etc…you know what is going on.
- THey are not normal BB30 bearings, so these do not work: http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id232.html
- You are right, although when installed they were in one peice all 40+ bearings fell out on overhaul (due to creaking).
So how and where do I get replacements from?
Thanks all
Your best bet would be to contact Stronglight-they make the cranks for Kuota. I am going to try to contact them for a set of bearings, I have a new crank thats useless without them.
Kevin
lol
I spoke to them on friday, they had me email them some pics because they cant figure out the model
Thanks for the advice though, I will follow up with them again tomorrow!
Good luck finding yours…will let you know how it goes.
Turns out it was not the bb at all, there was a catastrophic carbon failure last week…

one more pic…not a great ride…knee still hurts…
