With regards to disc wheels, I guess it depends more on the adapter than the pump itself. Anyway, since my pump is from Topeak as well as the adapter and gauge, everything connects just fine

What disc wheel do you have that the Topeak gage fits on?
I use the Topeak valve adapter with the Topeak gauge. Without it, you are right that it’s not possible. I used it maybe once only
