A team in Germany examined the records of two million Dutch couples. They found that a seven- to nine-year age gap between a husband and wife caused a woman’s mortality rate to increase by 20 per cent.
Ironically, the study found the opposite to be true for men, indicating those who marry younger women actually live longer."

My husband loved this report… as he is 7 years older than me 
He pointed it was a good reason for me to stick with him and not trade him in on a younger model. He also reminded me about the Zipp wheels he bought me for my birthday last year
What if I don’t marry him?
The report also found that there was the same issue with women who married men older than them, however the media didn’t go for that angle at all and didn’t report it.
Basically, big age gaps are bad for women’s health.
I posted this because it falls into the “ridiculous trivia” catagory. I have no idea why a younger man would shorten a women’s life by 20%. Makes no sense at all, but I guess the stats don’t lie, at least in Holland.
