I need some help - Does anyone have these 3 issues of Triathlete - December, 1986 - April, 1987 - March 1990 -

I would like to have them and will purchase them from you!

I imagine you will have a tough time calling Dupont. He probably cant take incoming calls.

Maybe try Norristown State Hospital.

Yes- I doubt that he will want to sign my copy of Tri-Athlete Magazine. Back it the early days, he was a big supporter of elite athletes - Brook Clark, Ken Glah, Steve Fitch and others - “TEAM Foxcatcher” - Thank God he didn’t shoot any Triathletes! Z

Chip - got your message, but could not respond as you do not accept messages - I do have March Copy of Triathlete with Mark and Erin - my mistake - I thought Triathlete has gone to a seperate Jan - Feb issue in 1990, but they still had the single Jan/Feb issue - also with Mark on the cover.

So all I need not to complete my collection is April 87 and Nov. 86.

I no longer have what you are looking for, but I do own the FIRST issue of the glossy Triathlon-ete magazine with Dave Scott winning the Oct. 1982 Ironman on the cover.

I think I own every Ironman recap issue of the tri mags since 1984…and most competitor recap issues through the 90’s.

Very nice picture of Dave on that cover - you will notice another great triathlete in that picture - Linda Buchanan - she did not do the race, but was working the finish line. She does make the cover of Triathlete in 1987 with Mark Allen as she was triathlete of the year in 87. That makes her the only women to be on two covers of Triathlete with Ironman Champions! Z
