B2 carbon?

It seems like I’ve heard some talk around here of a carbon version of the Felt B2. R&A even mentions it on its currently incomplete website, but the link leads only to the current B2. Felt however does not mention it on their website. Does anyone else know any scuttlebutt?

the b2 carbon on R&A’s site refers to the B2 that has a carbon rear end (seat and chain stays).

Not sure on where you get their site to be “incomplete” tho- seems pretty complete to me.

I’ve seen that too, my first reaction was WOW! But it is only the rear part is carbon and they have written “CARBON” on the seatstays which makes people think that the whole bike is carbon.
However their new F series (road bikes) are full carbon

There is some talk about a carbon version of the B2. The Felt line up for 2006 has the B2 constructed of aluminum, carbon fiber, and even steel in critical areas. The bike is in constant development and prototypes are littered amongst the product development folks. If the B2 can be improved, it will be, but Felt won’t just make it out of carbon unless it also makes it a better bike.

Stay tuned.

Sounds good to me. I ride an '05 B2 and couldn’t be more happy. In fact, I almost questioned whether felt was giving in to trends by trying to improve on an already outstanding product.
