Average watts/kilo for elite AGers in Ironman

For elite AG and pro racers for Ironman distance what is your average watts/kilo for the race, how does that correspond to your % of threshold? Thanks

for the elites i would assume >5 watts/kg being raced at ~80% of their FTP
.

For AGers it’s more like 4 W/kg. (EDIT: That’s FTP, not IM output.) I may not be all that “elite”, but at 160 lbs and with a threshold somewhere under 300 W I’ve had the fastest bike split in my AG at IMLP on 205 W average and ridden 2:10 at the Boulder 70.3 on 240 W average.

I’d say a pretty good w/kg for an AG’er for IM would be around 3.0. My FTP/CP is around 330 watts and around 4.3 w/kg, and I’ve had near top bike splits in most of my races up to HIM this year. Hoping it’ll carry over to Beach2Battleship for me in about two months.

I’d agree w/ all of the above, FTP north of 4 w/kg and a good position on a fast bike can get you around an IM course w/ an AG FOP bike split.

I rode “only” .70 of FTP and had a top-10 AG bike split at LP this year. YMMV.

4.4-4.933 watts/kg dependent on shape @75kg.
To ride front group or second in the are group race 3.75w/kg for the first 60k then it settles to 3.25-3.5. This puts you around 5 hours on slow bike courses like NZ or port max.
