I’m looking for recommendations for a good sports massage therapist in the Aurora, IL area. Also looking for a “local” running race calender for the same area.

I used to work in Naperville, IL…but now live about 45 minutes north of where you are. For running groups, races, etc., check out: www.chicagoaa.com - they really do a nice job of summarizing local races in the Chicagoland area. Also, there is a Naperville Running group – also, there is a Lifetime Fitness in Warrenville (at intersection of I 88 and Warrenville Rd) and they have a Tri club there as well as a running group of all levels.
Not sure about the Massage therapist. I know a GREAT one in Naperville - near the downtown area. Her name is Michelle Dorion - however, she has since gotten married but she was the best. Once you get hooked up with the local Tri/Running scene someone can recommend someone for Massages.

My wife and I work with Victor Page. He is a massage therapist, personal trainer and yoga instructor - you can’t get it any better than that. He has a full understanding of sports-related advice - many massage therapists have no knowledge of athletics. He has a studio set up in the back of his home in West Chicago - it will take you about 20-25 minutes to get there, $60 for 1 hour or if you prepay, 4 for $200 - my wife and I have standing appointment once a week, and when we add a session here or there, he charges the $50 rate.
