I was contemplating renting out our house for the weekend of Augusta 70.3 since I didn’t sign up this year. Has anyone ever done something similar for a big race in your local town? Good experience? I rent out for Masters week every year and had the thought that it would be nice for athletes coming to Augusta to have a house vice stuck in a hotel room. Any thoughts? Feedback on price(compared to hotel), services, and experiences would be appreciated from those that have done similar at other races?
Of course there would be a ST discount if we decide to do it.

I don’t know about the feasibility of this, Masters week rentals are usually for the entire week so its cost effective as you already know. Most of those participating in the HIM are looking at a timeframe of a couple days at most so I don’t know if you could turn a profit on that short a timeframe and the hotels don’t raise their rates for the HIM like they do the Masters so that would be a negative as well plus they just built the Holiday Inn express 1 block away from the swim start so you are competing not only against the Marriot and Ramada but now a third even closer option. You may get someone though who is actually coming for a longer timeframe, lots of whatifs on this scenario for you to weigh.
