Attention Slowman

Dan, I and many others owe you a debt of gratitude for providing this wonderful forum where we can exchange information, make aquaintances, and make fun of people’s decor.
I admit that I’m very new to ST…just signed up back in July, and forgive me if you’ve answered this personally before, but is there a reason that whomever does the coding for your site (if it’s you, I apologize) doesn’t make it so that us Mac users can post photos? I’m sure Cathy (IronCLM) must have hassled you before…saw the pics of her on her iBook.
Thanks in advance! Oh, and Mac haters…I’m putting my flame suit on now!

Thanks Dan for all you do to keep ST up and running so wonderfully!

The software that runs the forum is a commercial product rather than hand built. You Mac users get no love…well at least you have the ipod.

It’s a great place to learn and debate. And for those of us who know that we’ll never be fast, at least we can hope that some day we will be knowledgeable.

“is there a reason that whomever does the coding for your site”

yes! because all you mac pussies are nothing but godless commie leftists, like bill clinton and benjamin franklin!

actually, i’m typing this on a mac right now. i’m a godless commie mac user, have been for decades. this linux-based forum software, for some reason, isn’t optimized for macs, at least when it comes to the functionality you speak of. i’ve got a windows box in the other room, and if i really MUST upload a photo i do it on that one.

Jay

Does this mean no pics of your new ride.

Train safe & smart Bob

At work I utilize a PC, but at home I am a complete MAC user and can’t post any pics and the same is true on the road. So basically when I post pics on road trips I prepare them on my personal first generation MAC Ti powerbook, email the files to myself, then go to an internet cafe and upload images and stories from a pc.
But since I also have an IMAC G5 at home, i am actually considering the sin to get rid of my Ti-powerbook which is falling literally apart, and replacing it with a 12" Dell Inspiron basic laptop for traveling.

don’t do it - if you have to travel and need a new lappie soley for traveling - get the one designed by the guys who designed your falling apart tiBook"

p.s. herbert, did litespeed ever make those ti tricycles that were shown about 10yrs ago?

I’ve had my Ti powerbook since late 2001, and it finally died - one of the hinges snapped. It was the longest serving notebook computer at our company, and the longest serving in IT by two years. I will miss her, she was a spectacular machine. I replaced her with a Fujitsu Lifebook tablet PC. Tablets are great, seriously, if you are like me and have to sit through meetings all day, invest in a tablet with a privacy screen. People think you are taking notes when you are really on Slowtwitch.

HA, HA. Thanks Dan. Understood. We have a third-party forum on our website too, so i understand the limitations.
Keep up the great work.
Oh, and Bob (Longboarder), I should be picking my new bike up today (Saturday).

No question. The forum is an important resource.

Slowtwitch.com is one of the reasons why I would consider not getting a 12" Powerbook. Not because mine is falling apart after 5 years (I actually think that is allright), but because there are some things which can’t be done on an Apple.

Of course we made those tricycles, actually a Chattanooga Shop in town (attached to the Chattanooga Museum) still has one. Plus there is one in my office, but that one is not for sale.

new macBookPro and install a copy of XP on it…

 I am just pissed that I got my new acer a week before the solution for MBP dual boot came out…

too bad
