I “test-drove” the new Asics Gel Kayano and the Asics Gel Kinsei today but remain undecided. Any updated feedback on the newest models from ST’ers who use one or the other–or both?
FWIW, I don’t have any significant pronation problems, but I am a larger framed, fit athlete with years of wear and tear on my knees and prefer a well-cushioned shoe.

If you dont’ have any motion control issues and just want straight cushioning I’d go with the Kinsei or to throw another option into the mix the Nimbus. The Kayano has a lot of stability/motion control features and coupled with their awesome IGS system, I think sometimes it doesn’t work all that well for nuetral runners allowing them to sometimes stay on the outside of the footstrike a bit too long. That being said all are stellar shoes, I’d just go by feel.
