Have a Speedmax CF SLX (last years model before they released the disc brake version) and while I have replaced the included Ergon pads with the 51 Speedshop ones, I would rather have more “real estate” for my forearm. The 51 speedshop cups are very comfortable, but I’d like something that is much longer. I see that TriRig has the open (and closed) longer arm cups. What other options are there? I have their regular arm cups on a backup TT bike and like their product so I’m good with going with the TriRig setup…but, I’m sure there are plenty other brands but I haven’t a clue who all sells them in this price point and would like to start researching all the options. TIA!

Wow, thanks for that! My search parameters didn’t turn it up so I appreciate the help. Cheers!
ok, so now reading through that entire thread, it’s not really what I was hoping for. I was looking for an arm cup replacement that just has more real estate rather than what appears to mostly all in one solutions. Those are some great setups, but not what would work with my setup. It’s looking like the TriRig setup (open back longer arm rests) are going to be the solution. Appreciate the link though.

Pretty sure that “Sync Ergonomics” company in that topic sells something like this that is not a full-on super extension. It depends on a bent round pole. One of the other ones in that topic also seems to be more of a long armrest than a super extension, both in cost and function.
Take a look at the Culprit CSR cups, 21 cm long and very comfortable. Joshua is also on this forum

I can recommend the Culprit CSR pads - they are very comfortable and provide a significant improvement in forearm support over more normal sized cups/pads.
Wide range of installation options - width, fore/aft position, angle etc of the pads because of the hole pattern in the cup base.

Many thanks. I’ll look into them.
update Looks like the Culprit CSR units are out of stock.
Sent you a message with a little extra offer from TriRig!
Thanks Ben. Just replied. Cheers!
Profile and 51 Speed Shop both offer slightly longer than normal pads. For really long pads (1/2 forearm) it’s Culprit and Tririg Scoops.
Yes, we are out of stock
But I have a few sets my Taiwan distributor can loan to me. We have new stock being finished in our paint supplier in Taiwan.
As you can read, we have a very good review and our pricing is the best for this product and offers a huge fit range and comfort.
I can try to get some by Friday if you wish to buy this week.
Joshua
I got to play around with the Culprit bars/pads this past week.
There is nothing on the market that is this adjustable. By far the most adjustable setup out there.
Please excuse the terrible clear coat that I sprayed on but they apparently aren’t that hard to make. Here are a set that my friend made and I customized to my position. UCI max is 125mm in length I believe unless something that changed since I last looked. These are 124mm long.
Why are photos still such a faff to upload directly from an iPhone?!
I have been thinking the same thing so thanks for posting. The thing I keep wondering is if the tri rig closed cup pads are comfortable on the fly? I can imagine one just get used to it when you get them but I am trying to figure out if the closed back is the right call.
I saw the new EPT cups from Ron this weekend in Å amorÃn. Looked nicer than in pictures. Long and offer a tighter curvature. Not as tight as PD Race cups, but tighter than Ergo cups.
out of curiosity, what brand/model?
Josh
i just ordered the EPT one last week (not yet arrived):

.
Thank you, I wasn’t aware of that model
Interesting design. Quite different from mine. But thats what I love about competition. Each brand makes something slightly unique and the customer decides.
Cheers
Joshua
I saw these earlier I like these visually, not sure how the adjustability is. Keen to hear how you get on with them
