Is there any real difference between TriRig’s ergo arm cup and 5 Speedshop’s universal arm cup?
I’m looking for a replacement to the tiny stock ones on the speed concept.

I have had both.
I had the first gen TR cups on my Felt IA, then went to their closed back cups. The Ergo cups are nice and wide, cushy without a high stack. The Closed back long cups I didnt like too much…water and sweat pooled and they were not cushy.
I got the 51 SS last fall for my new P5 Disc and when I saw them in person I didnt think they would match up to the Ergo cups, but boy was I wrong. I love them…cushy without being mushy, arms stay solid on them, really happy I got them. I don’t think you can go wrong with either and it looks like TR updated the padding on the Ergo cups so I dont know how those would feel.
Regardless of cup, go for the new thinner version of CeeGees. They’re as comfortable as before without the bulk they used to have.
I’ve used both on my sc. I preferred the 51ss over the tririg’s. Though I had to put ceegee pads on the 51ss as the stock pads are a bit slippery for me. The tririg’s were comfortable but they are heavy and sweat pooled up like someone else mentioned.
51ss is working on a new cup/pad that is supposedly higher to lock you in more and solve the slippery issue. Sam Long and RVB had been using the new cups pretty much all year. Who knows when they will be available to us commoners.
My csr pads will be back in stock this week if that appeals to you.
Many ST riders can attest positive reviews and the extra length really adds comfort.
No word of sweat pooling on our pad or stock foam.
FWIW all tririg cup pads, including the ergo cups, are now perforated. I personally never had the sweat pooling issue but I’m also a fairly light sweater.
Good to know… thanks Ben.
