Area 51(S4), Aliens, and Bob Lazar

So I have never been much of an alien buff, but I had the chance to listen to Joe Rogan’s podcast with Bob Lazar. I found it very interesting and Bob was very intriguing (the other guy pushing his documentary on the other hand was the opposite and his documentary on Netflix sucked). So what is everyone’s thoughts on does the government have alien space craft? Element 151, gravity and anti-gravity?

I agree with you on your three main points:

Bob was engaging and believable on the Rogan’s podcastThe other dude, the director of the documentary was annoying as hell. Typical conspiracy freak. I could tell Joe was getting annoyed at him also.ergo the third point, the netflix documentary sucked balls. WTF were all the constant seizure inducing imaging flashing and WTH chooses Mickey Rourke to narrate…anything at all. Shit documentary all way around and shit job on it. Completely crap job of providing a lucid context and follow up questions with Bob and crap job of trying not to make Bob look like a freak with all that imagery and fooking Mickey Rourke talking.
Bob still comes off in the documentary and on podcast as very believable and rational. But the things he says happened…wow. I can’t reconcile it.

Shite job in the documentary on getting Bob to explain more and do just minimal follow up questions on things he says. It could be that Bob just refuses to answer more detail or answer other questions.

Example: in one piece of the documentary he explains in detail how the power wafers of Element 115 are made. No clarification comments/questions from anyone if what he related was something we were doing, learned from the aliens, figured out theoretically how it was done, etc… just vague on basic context.

Example: no clips/pictures or anything added into the documentary of the recent FBI raid…not one picture of film of any of it from the outside. How can you not add in something like that into the narrative of that FBI raid. Just sloppy…or they are avoiding something.

Also really surprising that no other people at all have ever come forward with any similar stories in the last 30-50 years this has been going on. I figured someone on their deathbed would eventually spill the beans.

Fascinating though. I just can’t reconcile how believable Bob is with these extraordinary claims.

.

Yeah I would agree with that. The only discrepancy I saw with Bob was him saying 9 flying discs early on and now saying they were of different shapes and designs.

The big thing that really was interesting to me was how the government tried to erase him essentially and how things he was called crazy for have since been proven to be true, (the hand reader, the element has actually been created recently, even in unstable form, and gravity being a wave, etc).

Out of all that, what was most telling and added to his credibility, was that during the filming of the documentary, the FBI actually raided his lab and business (again).

.

On my bucket list is proof that intelligent life exists. I think if it does exist robotic craft would be sent to explore the cosmos. If by chance the government were to come across a disabled craft the general public would never find out about it unless it was politically helpful or another craft landed in such away the govt. could not deny its existence. I have known people that have seen UFO’s. They told me there was no way they were from the Earth. One guy in the Navy said his ship watched one rise out of the water and fly off. Maybe he was a compulsive liar and then again maybe not.

Lazar has been thoroughly debunked. His knowledge of physics is rudimentary and his education and job history claims aren’t backed up by any evidence. Students and professors at the schools he claims to have attended have never heard of him. He doesn’t have the qualifications to work where he says he worked and nobody that he would have worked with has ever heard of him either.

Bob Lazar is a liar, plain and simple. Even Stanton Friedman de-bunked him: http://www.stantonfriedman.com/index.php?ptp=articles&fdt=2011.01.07

Lazar really needs to read NASA’S reasoning as to why aliens have not visited Earth. They boiled it down to one thing - a one star rating!

Joe Rogan has another podcast with Annie Jacobson which gives a different idea. I can believe this one.

Before I look at the comments, does anyone mention Tom DeLonge at all?

I know in his podcast with Travis Barker, Rogan asked about him and Travis said “He was always into that shit” or words to that effect

Interesting stuff. Like I said before, this is the first time I’ve really heard much on this subject. I still find it interesting, would be interesting to just know all the secrets our government hides or the world would know. I took the podcast with a grain of salt considering it was essentially a one sided conversation.

Except all that stuff was known years before Bob. I mean Einstein was the one the one that theorized gravity waves.

Sadly, I must admit I love these UFO and monster shows. Although I can’t stand to even look at Ancient Aliens. The vast majority of these shows/experts are just crap. Funny crap, but crap nonetheless. I find it amusing to see how far some of them will go. And there is apparently a nice little cottage industry ready to believe/exploit these people and make some decent money at it.

But Bob Lazar has about as much credibility as these guys…

The truth is never as interesting as conspiracy theories, but here you go. The original may be seen, plus more, at the Atomic Museum in Las Vegas. Stay out of Area 51 (and several other areas as well) They’re still hot spots from nuclear testing from 50-60 years ago.

Somewhat relatedly, what is the LR consensus on the 2004 radar-visual encounter of the unidentified of an unidentified flying object by US fighter pilots of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group?

There are ample interviews with the pilot who shot the footage (and who seems clear-headed and not at all given to wild theories), and there’s at least one documentary piece featuring some of the Nimitz radar operators, who also seemed certain they’d tracked something unidentified that was moving unlike any aircraft they’d ever seen (and who also seemed like no bullshit guys).

Like most, just trying to read and watch the things out there that seem the least woo.

Decent article here.

I don’t know about this one yet. The radar images are certainly interesting. There is a thread on this already: https://forum.slowtwitch.com/forum/Slowtwitch_Forums_C1/Lavender_Room_F4/Something_odd_is_going_on_with_UFO_research_P6957582/?page=unread#unread

The group that is pushing this story consists of Luis Elizondo, who so far has not be able to establish that he was actually in charge of the program that he says he was, and Tom DeLong, of Blink-182 fame.

I posted an article in that thread that questions the people behind these stories: https://theintercept.com/2019/06/01/ufo-unidentified-history-channel-luis-elizondo-pentagon/

That being said, Congressional leaders were briefed on this sighting (and other related ones) a couple months ago and that was a first. The videos do seem to be genuine and the pilots (at least the ones who have spoken publicly) unimpeachable. So it is an interesting case, being pushed by some interesting characters.

If we have aliens stashed away somewhere there is no way our current commander and chief could keep it a secret.

Or like the original movie Independence Day, they (military) simply haven’t told the President. But yeah, no way our government has anything, no way that kind of secret stays a secret.

That’s not Susan Oliver, is it? That looks more like the girl who played Barbara Gordon/Batgirl on the Batman TV show.
