Yup still not running but I have been biking on the trainer most days 16-18 miles with no pain so thats a start. I was told aqua running would be good for me now. Any idea how to start this and what I need? Any advice would be great. Thanks

As someone with thousands of aquarunning miles under his belt, I suggest you get a mallet - the type with a big, rubber 5lb head is best- and proceed to hit yourself in the skull until just barely conscious.
This is the single best way to prepare for aqua running.

Since you can ride a bike and would be doing so anyhow you might consider PowerCranks as an alternative to aqua running. Probably just as effective (if not more so) and you don’t need a pool.
Yep, it’s boring. Find deep water, bring your HR monitor, a water bottle, and iPOD for tunes…intervals are the only way…I liked sprints across the diving pool myself.
Do the same workouts you would do outside…tempo, inteval and long runs, but I tethered myself to the edge of the pool for better leverage.
I had a hard time finding a pool deep enough…so i bought an foam belt and a elastic band to tether myself to the side of the pool. luckily, i am short so the pool only had to be about 5 feet deep so my feet did not hit the bottom. like others have said it is extremely boring…i will take 5 hours on the trainer in the garage over 45 mins pool running any day! i have been doing it for about 3 weeks now since i suffered a stress fracture in my foot. i find that it is very hard on my hip flexors so i only do it every other day. i have now able to mix in the elliptical trainer so i do that on the days i do not aqua jog.
