I have yet to do, so, but I also want to get used to the resricted movement… if there is any. My biggest concern is that of overheating, so if I did try it, it would be for short swims or maybe just he warm up of my sets…
Anyone else do this?

I usually do one pool swim in a wetsuit each season, just to get used to the suit again. Yeah, it gets warm. I don’t make it a big strenuos workout, just an easy day to feel the wetsuit.
The looks I’ve gotten swimming in the indoor pool in a wetsuit lead me to believe I’ve been mentioned in someone’s “strange denizens of the pool” thread…
but you have to do it at least once…never try anything new on race day right?

Well hopefully not. Hopefully you have spent the time to get the right brand, the right size and have the suit fitted to you prior to swimming properly. If you get all that right, there should be no restriction at all!
Do it you won’t overheat. Then go find a lake and swim there a couple of times before your first race.
Every time I swim…and by that I mean that my Y pool is kept at a balmy 87-88 degrees, so every swim feels like a warm water wetsuit swim.
If I ever actually took the wetsuit in the pool I’d die of overheating in a few laps!
I’ve done a few swims in wet suits in the pool. How hot is your pool right now? Shouldn’t be a big issue if the pool is normal temp.
