Anyone wearing Adidas Boost shoes with superfeet?

The shoes have a low-mid volume so under normal shoe sizing, it feels really tight with superfeet green insoles and socks. Not sure if I should switch to superfeet carbon and keep the same sizing or move 1/2 size up. Any thoughtS?

I’m using super feet carbon and black in different pairs of normally sized boost shoes with no issues.

Carbon and Boost is a great combo.

I wear the Boost (liked the original best) with black superfeet - great combo for me!

I have worn the black for a number of years…this is teh 1st I have heard of the carbon - can you compare them for me please.

I’d say the carbon is very much like the black - except made out of carbon instead of plastic (probably doesn’t mean any thing functionally) and the carbon doesn’t have the stabilizers on the heel cup like the black - it is just rounded on the heel cup but sits fine for me. The carbon costs a little more I think but I really don’t find any noticeable difference.

Do you know if the stabilizers on the black help control pronation like a varus wedge does on orthotics? The rounded heel cap on the carbon looks like it would not provide any of this type of support.

I’m not sure about the Adidas Boost, but I’ve used Superfeet for years. If the Superfeet insert is too long or wrong-shaped, just trim down the superfeet using the Boost insole as a pattern.

This is my exact go to running shoe set up. Adidas Boost with the green super feet insoles. It does make for a tight fit. I prefer my running shoes very tight, so this works perfectly for me. If you prefer a bit more room, you may want to consider sizing up.

I run in Boosts with carbon superfeet, works great for me. The greens made the shoes way too tight, but the carbon takes up quite a bit less room inside the shoe (no need to go a half size up).

As for Carbon vs. black, the carbon is a tiny bit softer pad, and the arch has a little bit different shape. It doesn’t have the little “feet” on the heel, but those feet don’t really provide much support to begin with. The rounded heel doesn’t take away from support, and the carbons do a better job in my opnion.

RFC,

thanks, ill give the carbons a try. Which boosts model are you running in?

I’m running in the original Boosts from 2013
