I tried one on last night and liked the fit. Also thought Blue Seventy fit well.
Salesman was great not pushing one suit or another. I tried on all the big makers QR,Desoto,Orca ect.
Thanks
I have last year’s Z1 model. (Yes, it’s a sleeveless.) I used a couple of others previously and have to say that I love that wetsuit. It fits like a glove, comes off easily and floats me right on top of the water. The only downside is that it always takes me most of a practice to get used to swimming without it again.
I have a sleeveless Z1 Zoot. Love it. Agree with pswim above. Fits great, looks good. Really couldn’t justify/don’t need the Zenith, but it looks sweet.
There has been talk of people using the Zenith and excess water getting caught in the interior channels of the suit, due to the 3mm pads. I’ve love to know if anyone has expericned this.

T-Racer has a Zoot One and, although, she likes the way it fits, she has a really, really hard time getting it off because of the funky cuffs on the sleeves.
These are the type of things I was wondering. Everything looks good with suit but how does it function in a race. From all the searching I’ve done there is nothing but good things said about Blue Seventy.
Of course, it is the official wet suit of Ironman.
I raced in QR before this year and now I am racing in the Zenith this year, and it is great. I had a love-hate relationship with it at first… I had the problem Shawn was talking about with the cuffs being really really constricting. However, after cutting the cuff right about the seam (and it is still holding together great), I couldn’t be happier with the suit.

I raced in the Zenith wetsuit for the 1st time at Eagleman and thought that it worked out really well. I was almost 8 minutes faster than last year. Although I think the swim was short maybe 3-4 minutes and the conditions were much better than last year. I have only used it a few times but so far I really like it. I had no problem getting it off in transition and thought it was much easier than my other suit. Although it does take me a bit longer to get on than my other suit but it peels right off. One thing that I noticed when first trying on the the suit is that when standing with my arms at my side the shoulders felt tight, but when I raised them above my head the tension released at it felt more natural. I guess that is because they are designed to have your arms extend rather than on your side. Hope that helps.

PS: As a disclaimer I am on the Zoot Triathlon Team, but if I didn’t really like the suit I would not be praising it. I think it should be considered when purchasing a high end suit.
I bought a “cheapo” Z2-full at the beginning of this season and have found it to be a great suit for the money. This suit fits like a glove and is easy on/easy off. My only gripe is the tight fitting cuffs, but like what was mentioned above some trimming and its good to go. I found this suit as comfortable as some suits twice the price. Just my two cents.
Just posted a new thread on the Main board about my wetsuit reviews. Feel free to shoot me any questions… I do have some additional thoughts as far as durability and whatnot, but i’m not burning any companies on the forum.
Last season I raced in Z1s (sleeveless and sleeved). Love them. Very buoyant. The cuffs are designed so you can cut them to make it easy to peel off if that is an issue for you. Some people leave them alone, some cut them very high. One of the nice features of these suits is that you can ‘customize’ things like that. Amazing attention to detail. I thought these were the pinnacle of wetsuits until…
…this year I got a Zenith and my head exploded. It is lighter and more flexible than my Z1s (easy to kick, rotate, and breath) but almost as buoyant. I’m faster in the Zenith but can’t say for sure if it’s the suit or fitness. Probably a bit of both, but regardless of why, the suit is comfortable and in many ways feels more like wearing a speedskin than a wetsuit.
No problem peeling it off. As for putting it on, if you simply fold back the cuffs it goes on easily. Then you fold the cuffs back down and you’re good to go.
My fiancee started using a Zenith this season too and has so far set PRs in every course she raced (St. Anthony’s, Danskin, etc). Jim Vance switched to Zenith and was able to stay with the lead swim pack this year at XTERRA Temecula. Conrad Stoltz won XTERRA Temecula after leading the swim in a Zenith. Kate Major won Oceanside 70.3 in a Zenith. etc etc etc. This doesn’t ‘prove’ anything, but I can tell you for sure there are a lot of very fast people who are very happy with their Zoots…
