Anyone Use Lickbike.com Recently?

I had never heard of them but saw them mentioned on here a few times. Just tried calling their 800 number and their local number and both numbers just gave me a “beep, beep, beep.” No ringing, no message, nothing. Has anyone used them recently? How is their service? The phone thing kind of makes me nervous.

Has anyone used their price match guarantee? If you find it lower they match the price and give you 11% of the difference I think? Do they honor this policy?

Thanks.

Yes, they do price match. Though, for the time it takes, it’s probably not worth it for most items. They are around – I just got a Phil Wood BB I ordered from them last week. One or two of the guys there are fairly knowledgeable – not like Nashbar or Performance.

What do you mean it’s not worth the time it takes? Is it a hassle? Should I just get it from the cheaper place?

Any idea about the phone number? Thanks.

I just ordered some pedals and a few other things from them. It took a while to get through on the phone, but once I did the service was fine. The had my order processedand shipped to me in Canada with in a few days and there were no problems.

I used them a few weeks ago - everything went fine, they price matched-and-beat based while I was on the phone, no issues with shipping or anything.

Their hours are a little weird, if I remember right. Just try them back later.

They’re a good shop. For me, ordering was a bit of a PITA because they can’t take a Canadian addressed credit card and ship to an American hotel - but other than that, I’ve been happy with the service.

I just got through. They seemed nice and helpful. Unfortunately they only price match in the US.

I am looking at a Dura-Ace groupset and have found it from the UK for $200 cheaper than Lickbike has it…for the $200 I think I may just get it from overseas.

Noone, but NOONE, price matches from overseas. I know, I’ve tried, with several things. Wheels and groupsets and tires have pretty strong manufacturer price controls/suggestions domestically, but overseas you can find more deals.

Yeah, I didn’t realize.

I may still go through them, glad to hear some positive reviews here. Gotta try to figure one or two things out. Thanks.

ANy chance you or anyone else has any sort of discount code/offer through them?

Well, gottaridebikes will do it with free shipping and price match. I know they’re good as I use them all the time.

Why not just go with PBK, though? They’re also quite good at getting you your stuff fast, and the price is right there…

Yeah, saving the $150 or so through PBK is probably the best bet. Only problem is they only have a 12-23 cassette in the groupset with the crank length I need.

I wonder if I could find someone on here to trade a new 12-23 for a 12-25 or 12-27?
